Preposiciones en inglés de lugar y tiempo: AT IN ON
Prepositions of place (de lugar)
Hay algunas reglas generales que podéis seguir.
- Todas las superficies llevan ON
Ejemplos:
- There are three plants on the balcony.
- We’re at the station waiting for the 6.30 train.
- The kids are in the classroom.
Algunas excepciones:
- On the corner (en la esquina)
- On the street
- At the end of the street (al final de la calle)
- On the left (a la izquierda)
- On the right (a la derecha)
- In front of…
- At home
- At school, university, college, the academy
- In hospital
- In jail, prison (en la cárcel)
- At work
Prepositions of time (de tiempo)
- Las festividades (carnaval, pascua, navidad, etc) llevan AT
Ejemplos:
- Christmas’s Day is on 25th December.
- Christmas is in December.
- I prefer studying in the morning.
- They usually go to cold places in summer.
- My children are at school at midday.
- They often have lunch at 2.30pm.
- We never have holidays at Easter (pascua).
Algunas excepciones:
